Kaitlyn's Bridal Shower

I have been in a few weddings before but this is the first time I've been asked to be a Matron of Honor!  Back in November, one of my bffs, Kaitlyn asked me to be her Matron of Honor and I said yes!!  Kaitlyn and I have known each other since middle school but didn't become friends till high school so our friendship is 14 years strong!  Our other best friend, Kara, is the Maid of Honor (and the groom's sister!), which made it perfect to host a bridal shower together!

Kara's mom/the groom's mom let us use her house for the bridal shower, which I was so grateful for!  We had so much fun putting together this shower for Kaitlyn and coming up with decoration ideas, favors, menu, putting together games, all of it!  Kaitlyn said she had a great time, which is exactly what we wanted.

By the way, I got the cake at Costco and it was FABULOUS!  So delicious and an amazing price!

Katelyn was hard at work at the bow bouquet!

The favors were lemonade packets with a straw tied on!

The bridesmaids gave Kaitlyn her comforter set and she loved it!

Spring Break!

Yeah, yeah, I know, Spring Break was almost a month ago and I'm just now posting pictures.  I had too much fun over Spring Break to blog and as soon as it was over it was report card time at school and I was putting the finishing touches on co-hosting a bridal shower for one of my best friends.  Which means I have a lot to share in the next few weeks!

Spring break was a lot of fun!  We didn't go anywhere but we did have things going on most days.  Spring break started with Easter and on Monday I had some appointments to go to so my mom came up and watched the girls so I could go baby free!  On Tuesday we hosted a "play-date" at our house.  I use quotes because between the three of us, we have 5 kids, 4 of which are 1 and under, so not a ton of playing yet!  We mostly sat around, talked, and made sure the kids didn't eat anything weird.  On Wednesday one of my friends/coworkers came over for us to meet her adorable baby boy!  He was born in February and I hadn't had a chance to meet him yet.  She was awesome enough to come over to our house, where everything is baby-proofed, instead of us going there and me running after the girls the entire time.  While she was here we basically switched kids...I held and cuddled her 6 week old and she played with the girls!  It was fun to hold a newborn again!

Thursday was a busy day...We headed to my parents house to visit for a few days.  Once we got there I took the girls to my mom's school so she could show them off to her coworkers.  After that we spent the evening at my parents' house and I got to finish my gigantic Shutterfly book!  I always make a photobook of our year, kind of like a picture album, and last year was my biggest one yet....65 pages and over 500 photos!  It was a super big project and I am grateful I got it finished.  The girls also got to play in the grass for the first time...they weren't too sure about it!  My parents keep their grass on the taller side and they had trouble walking in it.

Noelle loved being pushed around in her Cozy Coupe!

Natalie wanted to pick up everything and eat it.

Some of the neighborhood girls came over and they loved blowing bubbles with the big girls.

On Friday I took the girls to my dad's work so he could show them to his coworkers and then we stopped by my grandparents house to see my grandmother.  Then it was home for naptime!  After naps (or lack thereof) we went back to my grandparents' house to celebrate my grandfather's birthday.  The girls had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and walking all over the house!

After the party I helped put the girls to bed at my parents' house and then headed back home to be baby free till Sunday.  I had two showers on Saturday to go to and my parents asked if they could keep the girls so we said yes!  I'll post some shower pictures later.  As you can see, we had a busy spring break!  Now the countdown is on for summer!
