Riley had her first encounter with the Roomba today!! She was not very pleased with it and found her "voice" so to speak which means we have to teach her "no bark" now, haha. I uploaded the video below, so hopefully it works and you can see how funny she is with it!
Riley started puppy class this past week. She is in a class of 6 puppies of different breeds and sizes. There is Daisy the Rottweiler, Charles the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Domino the Boxer, Gizmo the Havanese, and Hershey the Giant Schnauzer. As you can see, many different sizes even though they were all roughly 3 months old! Riley kept wanting to play with Charles but she kept pinning him to the floor since he was a quarter of her size! For the first lesson, Riley learned "Sit" and "Watch Me" which we have been working on at home.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoy the video!

What a weekend!!
Last weekend was very busy for us! Ben texted me during the day, asking if I wanted to go on a date with him. I said yes of course and tried to figure out what we were doing all day. Ben showed up after work with tickets to the Redskins vs. Bills preseason game!! A friend at his work gave him the tickets. We both love the Redskins so we hopped in the car and sped on over to the game. Even though the starters only played the first quarter, they still won,, 42-17!! Hopefully the new coach and quarterback will make winning a priority this year! Below is a picture of us...5 rows from the field!!
Riley had a busy weekend as well....a lot of firsts! Saturday started out with her first visit to the veterinarian. She did great and no shots this time! She was able to get her suture out from her spay and now we can play with her all we want since that is healed. She gained 2 pounds in one week!! She also had her first visit to Ben's parents house to meet Kevin, who just came home from Texas, and the family dog, Brady. Brady gave her one sniff and walked off...he could've cared less, haha. But we had a good time that night seeing his family. Riley also had her first bath on Sunday and now smells a lot better than she did! She tried to get out of the tub some but didn't go too crazy. However, she did not like the hair dryer and tried to run away from it!
Last night, I got to spend some quality time with my mom! Now that we live farther away, its harder to get together, but when we do, we have a good time together. We hit up the Annapolis mall and had dinner! It was great getting to spend time with her.
Until next time!!!

One month!!!
So yesterday was our one month anniversary of being married!!! I decided to make Ben a special dinner using our beautiful china and crystal glasses. His favorite dish is Spanish Tortilla and we had Scooby-Doo mac and cheese with apple crisp for dessert! I can't believe it's been a month already!!

In case you hadn't heard....
One thing I forgot to mention when I last posted that 2 weeks after the wedding, I cut all of my hair off!!! Well, most if it. I donated 11.5 inches of my hair to Locks of Love. I had been growing it out for the wedding and it had served its purpose. I always wanted to donate my hair and it will most likely never be that long again so I figured this was my chance. I plan to grow it out to about shoulder length, possibly a little longer. I can't wait for it to grow out again!!!

The first one....
Welcome family & friends!
After seeing some of our friends have blogs to stay in touch with their families and friends, we decided to give it a try since not everyone is on facebook! Hopefully we can keep up with this so you can know what we're up to here in Maryland.
It has been almost one month since we got married!! Hard to believe....time flies when you're having fun! Since returning on our honeymoon from Oahu, Hawaii, we have been busy setting up our apartment, writing thank you notes, furniture shopping, and trying to see everyone.
The biggest news is that we adopted a puppy from the HCSPCA this past week. It was kind of sudden but we had started looking around for a puppy to adopt. Normally HCSPCA never has puppies since they are adopted so quickly. We went Tuesday evening after work and there were puppies much to our surprise! We played with two beagle/Australian cattle dog mixes and put an application on one of them named Abigail. We came home with her Thursday night! Her new name is Riley and she is about 11wks old, 10.5lbs and is an absolute sweetheart! We're busy potty training and training in general.
That's really all that's been happening so far. Hopefully we will keep this updated!!!
